The Sacral chakra is the second chakra among the chakra system in our body. It is an important energy center as it governs our creativity, sexual energy etc. along with organs like reproductive organs, bladder, kidney etc. In this article I put some information about sacral Chakra.

What is Sacral chakra?

The Sacral chakra is called as Swadhishtan chakra in Sanskrit. The word Swadhisthana means one’s own place. This is the second chakra of human evolution. That is, the role of this chakra in providing the overall happiness of life is the most important after the foundation of the desire for survival – which is the function of root chakra.

Where is Sacral chakra located?

The Sacral chakra is located in the lower abdomen, in the center of the pubic bone. As it is also the place of the womb, it also indicates the birth and death phase of human life.

Qualities of Sacral Chakra

Even though chakras are energy centers without any color or shape, we identify them by giving them color and shape based on their characteristics and principles. I have listed some such information below

Color: Orange

Symbol :

Element: Water

Vibration: 417 hz

Seed mantra : Vam

More information about Sacral Chakra

The position of the Sacral Chakra summarizes its work and responsibility. It physically controls the reproductive organs as it is located in the lower abdomen. It regulates the water principle in our body by storing and distributing the Vana prana energy. So it is also associated with organs like bladder, kidney, etc. Besides, it also signifies birth as it is part of the womb. That is, we need a balanced sacral chakra to bring any person or thing into our life.

This chakra also refers to the child within us. Qualities like creativity, happiness are also associated with it. All old traumas accumulate in this chakra. So even when we think we are out of those old traumas they come down with time and remain in this Sacral Chakra. If it is not addressed properly, it will lead to one or other problem for the rest of our life.

Even though water has no color, the color of this water chakra is orange. This is because it is in the middle of the red (Root) and yellow (Solar Plexus) chakras. A combination of these two colors is indicated by orange color.

The six lotus petals seen in the symbol of the Sacral Chakra represent six enemies within us and that needs to be conquered. The circle and half moon in between indicate the frequency of births and deaths.

Balancing an unbalanced Sacral Chakra

Sacral Chakra harmonizes the energy flow of our body. So balancing this chakra is very important to maintain enthusiasm in life. In that regard, I have given some treatment methods here.

1. Mantra:

Some vibrations come out from the movement of these chakras. These vibrations become sound. Later it was recognized as Seed mantras. So here, the mantra of the Sacral Chakra is ‘Vam’. Regular listening or chanting of this seed Mantra can re-energize the Sacral Chakra.
